The Job at a Glance: University Sports Publications, an industry leader in sports marketing and publishing, is seeking a talented editor/proofreader to join their art department team in their Central Islip location. We are always looking for individuals who are extremely outgoing, enthusiastic, and who can manage multiple priorities.

Compensation: We provide a professional environment with competitive compensation and benefits package commensurate with experience and performance. Our compensation is $40,000 per year. Additionally, we offer employee benefits which include: employer contributed medical premiums for both employee and dependents, Health Savings Account (HSA), and paid time off.
What We Are Looking For/Elements of the Job:
Read and evaluate ad copy for grammatical and typographical errors.
Compare proofs against original copy to identify errors or omissions.
Evaluate the dimensions of ad elements such as images, text spacing and positioning to ensure they conform to set specifications.
Adobe Creative Cloud
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree most preferably in English, journalism, or in a related field.
Must be able to work with high accuracy under deadline pressure.
Work well within a team amid a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Proofreading test required
Ability to spot a broad range of errors, including spelling, grammar, usage, design, and layout.
